With Monday of the 22nd Week of Ordinary Time, our weekday Gospel shifts back to the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry as told in the Gospel according to St. Luke. This means that we have heard Mark’s and Matthew’s version and are on our way to Advent/Christmas!

In our First Reading for mass from 1 Cor, Paul describes the Christian’s journey as a “struggle.” That is, a struggle between the Spirit of Christ and the spirit of the world.

Can you put on the “mind of Christ?” Does this help you to emerge out of the struggle between the Spirit of Christ and the spirit of the world? What part does God’s grace play in this?
