November 6, 2014 (Phil 3:3-8a)

In today’s reading from Phil, Paul reminds us of what is really important: Jesus Christ. he recounts his credentials as a Pharisee prior to his experience on the Road to Damascus, his conversion. He was an exemplary Pharisee, yet, all is rubbish in relation to the one who is the center of everything: Jesus Christ.

Fr. Robert Barron, in one of his books prior to his becoming famous, says that our lives are not about ourselves; our lives are about Jesus Christ. He must have read Paul!

Who is the center of your life?
