November 29, 2014 (LK 21:34-36)

Last day of this Liturgical Year.

“For that day will assault everyone who lives on the face of the earth.” We come to the end of the year and the readings are about the end of time. Have we been lulled into lethargy and sleep? Do we think there is no urgency in getting into the right relationship with God? Are we being attentive? We must constantly assess how we are doing; take a spiritual inventory. We cannot get complacent and think we have it made. We must work daily on following the Master. Lord, give us the grace to be attentive to You in spite of all the hustle and bustle of life.
