Third Sunday of Easter (2015) (Luke 24:35-48)

In today’s gospel, Jesus tries to give His disciples evidence that He is really alive. He eats with them. He is no ghost. He uses Sacred Scripture to show how He fulfills the prophesies. He reminds them that they are “witnesses of these things.” Now, they have to go out and witness to others.

We need to witness to our faith, as well. WE didn’t see Jesus in the flesh like the disciples did, but their “testimony is true.” The best testimony we can give is to live like Jesus taught us and showed us how to live.
