April 24, 2015 (Acts 9:1-20)

“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.”  Paul’s conversion is the turning point in the Acts of the Apostles.  This is known as “the Damascus Moment.”  Paul had been a devout Jew  to the “nth degree.”  Now, he would become the greatest spokesman for Jesus.  He had to have been a torn human being, leaving his former life behind.  He heard the call and he responded!

We are called by God, too.  Sometimes, that means leaving everything behind that we held dear to follow in Jesus’ footsteps.  It takes great courage, just like Paul.

  1. If there has ever been any doubt in your mind that we are truly the body of Christ, these words of Jesus to St. Paul, should make it clear: “I am Jesus whom you are persecuting.”
