May 6, 2015 (John 15:1-8)

“Remain in Me, as I remain in you.” The Lord remains in us whether we are aware or not. He “pitches His tent” among us and never goes on vacation. There is nothing we can do to drive Him out. St. Augustine, in the Confessions, laments how he was looking for God “in all the wrong places”: not realizing that God was “within.”

We need to fully enter into Him so we can be more fruitful. The trick is to join our lives to His. We need to remain in constant contact with Him through things like prayer and service to others.
