“Does he not speak through us also?” Aaron and Miriam are jealous of Moses’ authority. So, they try to cut him down a peg. They want some of the glory. They crave attention, too. What they get is affliction instead.

Do you ever question your motives for doing things, even things that others would call “good.” When we speak against wrongdoing, what really do we want to see happen? Do we want forgiveness for the wrong-doer? Or, is it about our own egos?
