20th Sunday of Ordinary Time (2015)

Did you ever think receiving Holy Communion was risky business? It is. When we say “Amen” as we receive the sacred host, we are doing more than just saying “so be it; I believe.” We are committing to taking on more and more of the consciousness of Jesus Himself. We need to become “What we receive.” We need to live like Jesus lived in our homes, neighborhoods, and cities. This is quite a challenge. With His grace , we can grow more and more like Him. “You are what you eat.” Let’s hope that we become Jesus to the world.
