August 18, 2015 (Matt 19:23-30)

“It will be hard for one who is rich to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.” Wealth and things can get in the way. The ancient Israelites worshipped false idols, false gods. We can turn our possessions int “gods” that dictate how we live. Wealth can become baggage holding us down. Let us use what God has given us for His glory and the good of others.

  1. Perhaps the pain of Purgatory is the pain of letting go of all we cling to, that is not “loving God with our whole mind, heart, soul and strength.”
