Sept. 2, 2015 (Col. 1:1-8)

“We always give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ, when we pray for you.” To “always give thanks” for others may be a hard thing to do. After all, there are people we know that have hurt us or we might just not like. But, our lives, as practicing Christians is meant to be a life of total thanksgiving. St. Augustine wrote that a Christian should be an “Alleluia from head to toe.” “Alleluia” means “thanks to God.” Just think how much better our lives are when do have that “attitude of gratitude.” We realize that everything we have comes from God. So, let’s not forget to “Give thanks always.”
