Sept. 7, 2015 (Labor Day)

As we celebrate Labor Day 2015, I thought that I would do a series of blogs discussing the Church’s social teachings. As a “tease” to this ongoing discussion, I thought, that for today, I would include a prayer that sums up the foundation principles for this teaching. It is from the Liturgy of the Hours as goes like this: “God our Father, work is Your gift to us, a call to reach new heights by using our talents for the good of all. Guide us as we work and teach us to live in the spirit that has made us Your sons and daughters, in the love that has made us brothers and sisters. Grant this through Christ our Lord.”
