“If this day you only knew what makes for peace-but now it is hidden from your eyes.” With everything going on in the world, doesn’t this quote seem like it was made today instead of 2,000 years ago? How we long for peace. (Peace in the world, peace in our families, peace in our Church) Pope Francis wants us to be more forgiving, more welcoming. Does Jesus weep for our Church when we ignore opportunities to become more welcoming? Do we need forgiveness when we fail to be a source of Jesus’ love and acceptance?
