Feb. 24, 2016 (Jer 18:18-20)

“Come,” they said, “let us contrive a plot against Jeremiah” who lived a life much like Jesus in his being faithful for speaking God’s words and being persecuted and tortured for doing so. He sets an example for us that we should not be surprised when society treats us badly because we try to live out the gospel message of love and understanding. When that happens, as Jesus tells us elsewhere, we “should rejoice and be glad for our reward will be great in heaven.”
