Saturday of the Octave of Easter (2016) (Mark 16:9-15)

For the followers of Jesus, His death made no sense at the time of the crucifixion. It was only after the resurrection, that they could see the fulfillment of God’s plan. The change in Peter after Pentecost was as great a miracle as the healing of the crippled man. Peter was still Peter-uneducated, ordinary. However, empowered by the Holy Spirit, there was no stopping him.
