Easter WK5C (2016)

Some say that Christianity has lost its original fervor; that we have grown tepid and complacent, tired, and weary. It’s been 2,000 years and “peace” is hard to find. The journey is long and difficult. What can we do while we are waiting for Jesus to return? Waiting for the “new heaven and new earth” that the Book of Revelation talks about? What we do in the meantime? We pray and act. Like the early Christians, we try to love each other as Jesus loved. We wait in hope for place of peace foretold in the Book of Revelation. We act by staying connected to Jesus and allow Him to live in us. He does so in a powerful and unique way through the Eucharist we celebrate.
