The Eucharist is a communal act of remembering and worshiping that tells us to go forth and live in the world what we celebrate in the church. The Eucharist transforms us from a collection of diverse, disconnected souls into a community of faith. We come with our struggles and doubts, pains and sorrows. We find support and compassion from those who come to the Table with us. Today’s Feast of Corpus Christi reminds us that we are called by Jesus who fed the multitudes to be both guest and waiter, participant and host in the banquet of God.
