June 14, 2016 (Matt 5:43-48)

“Be perfect, just as Your Heavenly Father is perfect.” “Be perfect;” is Jesus kidding here? Is this an unreachable goal? Scripture tells us that “with God all things are possible.” Jesus sets the bar extremely high. It’s a goal to work toward. He really means business here. He wants us to be like the Father in all things including forgiveness. We are all works in progress, but we can’t give up because the goal is so lofty. Let’s all work to be like our Heavenly Father in all things using His grace.
