Nov. 29, 2016 (Is 11:1-10)

“There shall be no harm or ruin on all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be filled with knowledge of the Lord.” Wouldn’t you want to live on such a mountain? Differences among peoples are not important there. All are children of the One God. Distinctions between people are not important. It is a place where all are family. Such a place is called the Kingdom of God, a major theme of the Book of Isaiah. It will be a place where our minds and hearts (the seat of how we make decisions) will be such that all will make the correct decisions. There will be peace. Lord, help us to usher in Your Kingdom.
