“Those who are well do not need a physician.” How many times, in our daily lives, do we refuse to ask for help? Maybe, we deny that we are sick and need a physician. Or, it could be anything that we decide we are perfectly capable of handling without any outside help. It probably comes from pride. We just don’t want to admit that we are not up to it. I think that the psychologists call it “cognitive dissonance.” We are in a state of denial. Let’s look in the mirror and see ourselves for who we are. We don’t need to worry about what we see:for God loves us just as we are.
