Lent WK 2A (2017)

Peter, James, and John were given a special gift, a glimpse into the “real identity” of Jesus. We, too, are given gifts from God that we don’t necessarily deserve. Many times, they are graces that we didn’t ask for or would not even think about. They may even come as a surprise, like a 55-year-old retired Navy Commander becoming a priest. It’s at those times we should feel truly blessed. When God’s grace is given to us, what is our response? How do we respond to the many blessings God has given us? Well, our response should be one of gratitude. We need to live a life of gratitude by developing an “attitude of gratitude.”
