May 9, 2017 (Acts 11:19-26)

“…it was in Antioch that the disciples were first called Christians.” A persecution forced an evangelization effort outside of Palestine. More Greeks (gentiles) were converted. Belief in Jesus was now becoming much more than a sect of Judaism. Paul and Barnabas spent a whole year in Antioch preaching and teaching the faith. The Spirit was leading the Church in a different direction, toward the whole world.
