Sep. 9, 2017 (Luke 6:1-5)

“The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.” The Pharisees objected to the disciples picking and rolling grain from a field on the Sabbath because, to them, that constituted “work”, and, therefore, broke the Sabbath Law. Jesus says two things: He cites David to show that basic needs, like hunger, take precedence over certain laws, and He cites His authority over the Sabbath. What is your attitude toward the Sabbath observance?
