March 10, 2018 (Luke 18:9-14)

William Barclay, the Scott Scripture scholar, was riding a train. He looked out his window and saw a cottage that looked lovely against the backdrop of the green hillside. He was quite impressed. On the way back, he looked forward to seeing that cottage again. This time he was shocked. You see it had snowed and against the backdrop of the snow, the cottage looked soiled and downright dirty. When we compare our selves to others we may appear pretty, but when we compare ourselves to what God wants us to be, we might be shocked!
