Divine Mercy Sunday (2018)

St. John Paul II established Divine Mercy Sunday because the Church was in great need of a Feast that would create an awakening and renewed understanding and appreciation for the gifts of the Octave of Easter. John Paul II died on the Vigil of Divine Mercy Sunday. We need to remember to celebrate Easter as it should: be for 8 days. Easter doesn’t climax until today! Rejoice, He is risen. His mercy endures forever.
