Aug. 13, 2018 (Ez 1:2-5, 24-28c)

Ezekiel is the only prophet called to be a prophet while outside the Holy Land. He had been deported to Babylon. The first chapter is quite puzzling. The rabbis forbade anyone under the age of 30 to read Ezekiel. In today’s reading, we move from verse 5 to verse 24 (leaving out the fantastic vision Ezekiel had regarding the glory of God).
