Aug. 31, 2018 (MT 25:1-13)

In this eschatological parable we hear how the wise bridesmaids anticipated a delay in the groom arriving and planned for this emergency while the foolish ones didn’t. We need to be prepared and vigilant like those wise bridesmaids for we do not know when Jesus will return or our life (in this world) will come to an end.

  1. A THOUGHT NOT WASTED ON THOSE IN THEIR EIGHTIES AND BEYOND! Dear Father perhaps this day you will call my soul before Thee. I accept death, uniting myself to Jesus dying for me on the cross. Blessed Mary show yourself a mother to me, and obtain for me the grace of dying in the peace of the Lord.
