Prayer to St. Anne

“O good St. Anne, loving mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary, you are so powerful in heaven. Heal me of all my physical ailments, preserve me from every danger in life, and pray for my soul’s salvation in the moment of my death. Amen.”

Prayer to My Guardian Angel

“Angel of God, dear friend who watches over me always, please ask God’s blessing on me this day. Help me to remember that you walk beside me in everything I do and that you are with me always, a special gift from God. Guide me this day when I am tempted to stray from God’s will for me. Guide me as I make decisions at home and at work. Remind me often throughout this day that God dwells within me, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Remind me, too, that God gives me all the graces I will need, if only I ask for and respond to them. Guard me today, dear angel, and show me the way to God in all that I do. Amen.”

For Doing God’s Will

Loving God, I cannot live without You. Help me to think and act rightly that I may always live as You would have me live. Teach me to recognize Your holy will, to search it out, and then to follow it with all my mind, heart, body and soul. If I should stray from the path You have set for me, direct me back, Loving God, and show me the way. Give me your grace daily that each day I may start anew to respond to You. Help me recognize Your hand in the daily events of my day, and in the people You have given me to love and sustain me. Holy God, Mighty God, may I live as You would have me live, this day and always. Amen.”

A Prayer for My Parish

“Holy Spirit, my Guide and Counselor, I ask your blessing in my parish. May our priests and other leaders continue to be living witnesses of your presence among us. May all of us grow spiritually and follow your gospel faithfully. In particular, may our weekly worship bind us closer to one another in faith and give you glory and praise. May each family, from the youngest to the oldest: each baby, each child, each teenager, each parent, each elderly one among us, be especially blessed by you. May all of our families truly be “little churches” that daily give you thanks and praise. Thank you for my parish; thank you for my faith. Amen.”

Prayer to Our Blessed Mother

“Take my hand, O Blessed Mother. Hold me firmly ‘lest I fall. I grow nervous while walking and humbly call on Thee. Guide me over every crossing; watch me when I am on the stairs. Let me know that you’re beside me. Listen to my fervent prayers. Bring me to my destination safely along the way. Bless my every undertaking and my duties for the day. And when evening creeps upon me, I’ll never fear to be alone. Once again, O Blessed Mother, take my hand and lead me home. Amen.”

A Prayer of Thanksgiving

“Thank You, Dear God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, for bringing me to this moment in my life. Thank You for calling me to change and grow in the new millennium. Give me the courage, please, to respond to its challenges, and walk with me every step of the way. I want to grow closer to You and to my family, and to begin anew in all of my relationships. I need Your help to do this, and I rely on You for all the graces and blessings I will need. May I always keep You in my heart and may everything I do be done with You beside me. Thank You, My God, for this time of new challenges and new growth. Amen.”

Midday Prayer

“God my Father, I pause now in the middle of my day to recall Your presence. You have been with me in all that I have done so far today, and I ask You please to stay with me until day’s end. Bless the decisions I will make this afternoon. Bless the people I will meet and those I will be working with the rest of this day. May I show everyone the same love and care You always show to me. Go with me, please, when I leave my workplace and bless my time with family and friends. May all that I do be done as You would have me do it. Thank You, my God, for all the graces and blessings You have given me so far this day. I believe in You; I hope in You; I love You. Amen.”
